Academic Staff

The Hebrew University is working to increase the number of women in the faculty as well as the diversity of researchers from all the groups. The Committee for the Advancement of Women in Science and Research, headed by Prof. Bat Sheva Kerem, is responsible for promoting strategy and policy implementation in this area. The committee’s recommendations were embraced by the university's institutions. All faculty members in hiring and promotion committees attend a workshop on implicit bias and the barriers facing women and diverse researchers in academia.

Administrative Staff

he Hebrew University, in collaboration with the Commission for Equal Opportunities in Employment, works to increase diversity in the University's administrative staff. The university has set goals in this area and is promoting the hiring of employees from groups that are underrepresented among the administrative staff. For this purpose, each academic unit has appointed a referent responsible for diverse employment.
